Austin Peay State University’s men’s tennis team will host Tennessee Tech on April 7 for a match at the Governors Tennis Courts. The contest is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The match is significant as it represents one of the final home opportunities for Austin Peay this season. The Governors, currently holding a record of 4-10, are aiming to secure their second home win and improve their standing against Tennessee Tech, a team they have beaten twice in their last twenty-one meetings.

Austin Peay’s victories this season include wins over Southern Indiana, Oakland City, IU Indy, and Cumberland. The team’s top singles player has achieved a combined record of 9-9 so far. In doubles play, the leading pair has compiled an 8-4 record.

The two teams last faced each other during the 2025 season when Tennessee Tech earned a 6-1 victory over Austin Peay. This year, Tennessee Tech enters the match with an overall record of 11-7 and an undefeated mark in conference play (4-0 OVC), compared to last year’s finish at 2-12 (1-3 OVC).

Looking ahead, Austin Peay will travel to Nashville on Friday for a match against Alabama at Music City starting at 11 a.m.
