The Austin Peay State University women’s golf team is set to wrap up its regular season at the Jan Weaver Invitational, which will take place on April 11 and 12 at Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Kentucky.

This event brings together seven teams: Austin Peay, Southern Indiana, Lindenwood, Southern Illinois, Tennessee State, Murray State, and Belmont. The Governors’ participation marks their final competition before postseason play begins.

According to the university’s announcement on Apr. 10, several team members are highlighted for their performances this season. One golfer led the Governors at the Nashville Invitational with a tie for 22nd place and has a scoring average of 77.11 over 27 rounds played this year. Another player holds a scoring average of 76.52 with nearly all rounds counting toward the team’s score.

The lineup also features an athlete who leads the team with a scoring average of 75.63 and has played every round this season except two that did not count toward the team’s total. Additional players have averages of 77.07 and 78.75 respectively.

Three more golfers—Spencer (79.53), Jimenez (80.10), and Roberts (82.23)—will compete as individuals during the tournament.

For Saturday’s opening rounds starting at 8 a.m., Austin Peay will be paired with Lindenwood and Murray State. Live scoring will be available through Scoreboard, while updates can be found on X or Instagram (@GovsWGO) or by visiting LetsGoPeay.com.
