Patton Samuels of Austin Peay State University is in second place after the second round of the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Men’s Golf Championship, with the Governors men’s golf team holding seventh place as of April 22.
The tournament is taking place at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club. Samuels shot a three-under-par 69 on Wednesday, finishing with an eight-under total score of 136. He trails Florida Gulf Coast’s Sebastian Gamboa by two strokes for the individual lead. The Governors recorded a team score of three-over-par 291 for the round and have a combined total of four-over-par 580, which places them two shots behind Central Arkansas and three behind North Florida. Florida Gulf Coast leads the championship at twelve-under-par.
Samuels is tied for second with Anders Larson from Eastern Kentucky. He leads all players in par-four scoring at six under par and shares the lead in par-three scoring at two under par. Samuels also ranks tied for second in birdies made during the tournament with eleven.
Other notable performances include John Mark Mills, who shot even-par 72 to move up twenty spots on the leaderboard into a tie for thirty-third place at five over par overall. Zach Olsen and Jack Dyer each contributed rounds of three-over-par 75; Olsen sits tied for twenty-second at two over par while Dyer joins Mills in thirty-third position.
Jackson Wise played his first-ever round at an ASUN Men’s Golf Championship after being substituted into the lineup before play began, recording an eighty-one.
