94 percent of applicants to Austin Peay State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Austin Peay State University, 73 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 59 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Clarksville enrolled 10,954 students in fall 2018, including 9,871 in undergraduate and 1,083 in graduate programs, data shows. 9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

91 percent of undergraduates are residents of Tennessee, and 7 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (59 percent) and Black or African American (22 percent).

The school admitted 94 percent of the 7,722 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
