In recognition of Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week, here is a list of the officers and their responsibilities.
Investigates all animal related complaints associated with animal bites, attacks, dangerous dogs, animal cruelty, animal neglect, sick or injured animals, stray and possibly rabies exposure.
Enforces Montgomery County Animal Control Ordinances and State of Tennessee Animal Regulations.
Patrols designated areas of Montgomery County and responds to calls for service in relation to animal related complaints.
Maintains effective relationships with the community by providing education on responsible pet ownership, animal control functions, animal safety, and animal laws.
Responsible for impoundment, care, and welfare of all animals in the custody of Montgomery County Animal Care and Control.
