On June 16, 2022, Sheriff John Fuson held a Recognition Ceremony for two deputies credited with saving the life of a Montgomery County Resident.
Deputies Ragsdale and Drechsler responded to a medical emergency call of a 73-year-old woman who was undergoing CPR. When the deputies arrived, they applied their automated external defibrillator (AED) and a “shock was advised” meaning the AED was activated. Both deputies continued round of CPR until relieved by EMS who transported the patient to the hospital. The woman survived.
Fuson presented both deputies Ragsdale and Drechsler with a Certificate of Recognition and Office Challenge Coin for their actions during the medical emergency call.
Fuson expressed, “these actions were above and beyond the expected norm of assignment. It is the professionalism and dedication to their craft and the citizens of Montgomery County that brings great credit to them and the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.”
Thank you deputies for an exceptional job well done!
