In his final VTC ceremony as Mayor of Montgomery County, Jim Durrett was the keynote speaker. Mayor Durrett shared words of compassion, wisdom, and encouragement with the audience. The ceremony was filled with family, friends, and supporters, including the VTC Team, VTC mentors, and VTC participants in the earlier phases of the program. The Montgomery County VTC serves those who willingly sacrificed for our country and find themselves involved in the criminal justice system by providing needed treatment and services under judicial supervision to restore veterans to their positive status within our community.
The following 22 participants were recognized: Bryan Bentley, Milton Bice, David Bilan, Ellerd Brandt, Michael Cartwright, Howard Cook, Cedric Crowder, Matthew Dye, Sean Fogarty, Paton Friesel, Kristopher Henson, Phillip Lukas, Rene Marquez, John Massey, Dazjuan McLaurin, Janiece Moctezuma, Jeffrey Muth, Joshua Remlinger, Adrian Reyes, Colton Shipp, Brandon Singleton, and Wesley Stephanak.
At the end of the graduation, the Director of the Veterans Treatment Court, Edward Moss, presented Mayor Durrett with a plaque thanking him for his time and unwavering support to VTC.
