The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) announced the weekly awards for women's soccer on Monday. Krista Eik Hardardottir was named the Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. This was the sixth edition of the weekly awards.
Hardardottir earned the award based on her play in the wins against Union College and Montreat College. The sophomore recorded hat tricks in each of the games last week to finish with six goals and 12 points on the week. The Husavik, Iceland native scored the first goal in each of the games, including the game-winning goal against Union. Hardardottir is third in the conference with nine goals.
This is the first weekly award for Hardardottir. The next edition of the award will be announced Monday, Oct. 10.
