Sheriff John Fuson showed his appreciation to several members of the Sheriff’s Office who are veterans of our Armed Services

On November 10, 2022, Sheriff John Fuson showed his appreciation to several members of the Sheriff’s Office who are veterans of our Armed Services.

Special guest, Mayor Wes Golden, also showed his appreciation in his speech and the presentation of tactical flashlights as gifts to all the veterans present.

Sheriff Fuson then spoke about an addition to the uniform policy to allow for Sheriff’s Office employees who are veterans to wear a service pin indicating their branch of service.

In honor of the birthday of the United States Marine Corps, Sheriff Fuson pinned the first veteran pin on Deputy Truman Wood, a veteran of the USMC. The Sheriff’s Office will be providing pins for all other veterans of our agency on Monday, November 14th.

Many veterans continue to serve as first responders and other community servants. We honor their commitment to duty and their continued sacrifice in Public Safety. Please join Sheriff Fuson and the Sheriff’s Office in appreciation of all of our veterans.
